“Під час ювілейного року Церква пропонує можливості для примирення, спрямовані на зміцнення і відродження віри. Найосновніша мета цих всіх заходів — духовне оновлення, зміцнення Церкви як Тіла Христового. Також це час посиленої молитви, поглиблення особистих стосунків із Богом. Ювілейний рік — особлива нагода розпочати новий етап життя, звільнившись від минулих гріхів. Також це особлива нагода для діл милосердя щодо душі й тіла: посилюємо допомогу нужденним, підтримуємо сиріт, бідних, безхатьків. Це — нагода для паломництв до ювілейних святинь як духовних подорожей із метою духовних роздумів, молитви та зміцнення віри. Під час паломництв до Рима й інших визначених Церквою ювілейних святинь, паломники запрошені прийняти та досвідчити унікальний дотик Божої благодаті і милосердя через Таїнства Сповіді та Євхаристії.”
“During the Jubilee Year, the Church offers opportunities for reconciliation, aimed at strengthening and reviving faith. The most fundamental goal of all these events is spiritual renewal, strengthening the Church as the Body of Christ. It is also a time of intensified prayer, deepening personal relationships with God. The Jubilee Year is a special opportunity to begin a new stage of life, freed from past sins. It is also a special opportunity for works of mercy for the soul and body: we strengthen assistance to the needy, support orphans, the poor, and the homeless. This is an opportunity for pilgrimages to the Jubilee shrines as spiritual journeys for the purpose of spiritual reflection, prayer, and strengthening faith. During pilgrimages to Rome and other Jubilee shrines designated by the Church, pilgrims are invited to receive and experience the unique touch of God’s grace and mercy through the Sacraments of Confession and the Eucharist.”
